
Mother's Day Brunch, Players' Wives Food Drive Highlight Upcoming Eight-Game Homestand

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - After having won or split each of their first eight series and holding the Pacific Coast League's third-best record, the Sacramento River Cats return home Tuesday, May 8, for an eight-game homestand against the Omaha Storm Chasers and Iowa Cubs. The homestand features Ladies Night Out, Swing, Batter Batter, Swing Night, the Players' Wives' Food Drive, and the annual Mother's Day Celebration.
Ladies Night Out/Pink in the Park - Wednesday, May 9 at 7:05 p.m.
The River Cats invite the ladies out for a fun night at the ballpark. Fans can enjoy the game, get pampered and even pick up a few beauty tips. Mary Kay will have tables along the concourse and give out products to lucky fans. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will go toward the Mary Kay Foundation for cancer research.
Swing, Batter Batter, Swing Night - Thursday, May 10 at 7:05 p.m.
Raley Field transforms into the Cotton Club for a night as swing dancing and music fills the ballpark. Thursday's game is also a Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday, with swing band "The Riverside Rogues" playing live music in the Raley Field Beer Garden and $2 drafts of Miller and Miller Lite.
Players' Wives' Food Drive- Saturday, May 12 at 7:05 p.m.
Team up with River Cats players' wives and girlfriends to donate canned food and raise money for Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. This food drive is an annual event and gives fans the opportunity to donate $20 or more and receive autographed 2012 River Cats trading cards. During the 2011 event, fans donated $15,000 in food and cash donations.
After Saturday's game, stick around for another fireworks show presented by Sutter Health.
Mother's Day Celebration- Sunday, May 13 at 1:05 p.m.
Treat Mom to a day of baseball as the River Cats continue their tradition of Mother's Day at the ballpark. A special Macy's Mother's Day Brunch ticket package includes a Senate ticket, pre-game brunch, a $10 Macy's gift card and a Benefit gift pack. Brunch packages are $36 for adults and $30 for children 10 and under. Of the ticket package purchasers, one lucky mother will be randomly selected to throw out the game's first pitch.
In addition, all 2011-2012 All-City High School Sports Awards recipients will be honored before Sunday's game.
Fans attending the game will be able to participate in the Bling Fling where 1,000 foam diamonds will be flung into the crowd. 998 fans will win a cubic zirconia and two lucky fans will win .25 carat diamonds courtesy of Windsor Diamonds. All winners can visit Windsor Diamonds at 618 East Bidwell Street in Folsom, CA, to check the authenticity of their bling.
The homestand will also include the following recurring promotions: Monday Seniors Eat Free and Baseball Bingo presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort, Kids Eat Free Tuesdays presented by California Family Fitness, Nine Innings @ Noon Business Person's Special presented by yp.com, Toyota Family Value Fridays with $1 hot dogs and $1 desserts and U.S. Bank Sunday Funday with pregame autographs and the opportunity for kids to run the bases postgame.
