
Morales to DL; Ovalles promoted to the Sens

The Harrisburg Senators announced today that RHP Alex Morales has been placed on the disabled list effective today. To fill Morales' spot on the roster the Senators will receive RHP Juan Ovalles from Potomac.
Morales has only recently joined the Senators and had only appeared in three games. He pitched 4.2 innings and had an ERA of 3.86 while striking out four batters and walking five.
The Arizona Diamondbacks originally signed the 24-year-old Ovalles as a non-drafted free agent on April 13, 1999. He has played in the Seattle Mariners and Chicago White Sox organizations. The highest level he has played has been "high A" with Winston-Salem in 2005 and this year with Potomac. Coming into this season he had a career mark of 26-26 with 6 saves and a 4.24 ERA in 369.1 innings and 161 total appearances. With Potomac this season he was 3-5 with six saves in 28 appearances. He had a 2.70 ERA in 50 IP with 66 K's and 24 BB's.
With the moves today, the Senators roster stands at 23 active players.
