
Davenport activated, Solano placed on disabled list

Manchester, NH- Outfielder Ron Davenport was activated from the disabled list today and infielder Danny Solano was placed on the DL retroactive to July 25. Davenport had been inactive since July 6 with a sprained ankle.
The 24-year-old Davenport is hitting .186 with New Hampshire this season in 34 games. He has three home runs and 13 RBI. He has also played 39 games with Class High-A Dunedin this season, hitting .337 with seven homers and 26 RBI. He was originally selected by Toronto in the 22nd round of the 2000 draft.
The 30-year-old Solano has played 15 games with the Fisher Cats this year, hitting .174 with four RBI. He began this season with Triple-A Syracuse, where he hit .222 with one homer and four RBI in 26 games. He was signed by Toronto as a minor league free agent on May 3, 2002.
