Moose Sign Dickenson to PTO

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have signed center Lou Dickenson to a pro tryout contract.

Dickenson, 25, has played 41 games with the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL, where he's scored 19 goals and 25 assists for 44 points and 26 penalty minutes. In 2004-05, the Orleans, On native made his AHL debut with the San Antonio Rampage, scoring one goal and 12 penalty minutes in 17 games. Last season, Dickenson tallied 12 goals, 23 points, and 10 penalty minutes in 22 games with the Edinburgh Capitals of the EIHL as well as two assists and 10 penalty minutes in seven games with Sweden's Bofors IK. In 67 career ECHL games with Texas and Gwinnett, Dickenson has posted 24 goals and 36 assists for 60 points and 38 penalty minutes. In a five-season OHL career with Mississauga, London, Kingston, Guelph, and Ottawa, he posted 90 goals and 137 assists for 227 points and 177 penalty minutes in 313 career games.

Dickenson was originally Edmonton's fourth round draft choice, 113th overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
