Gilbert Brule Recalled by Columbus

Syracuse, NY (January 30, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled center Gilbert Brule.

Brule, 21, has appeared in 12 games with the Crunch this season, tallying 4 goals, 4 assists and 16 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 31 games for Columbus this season, notching 1 goal, 3 assists and 10 penalty minutes. A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Brule was drafted by Columbus in the first round, sixth overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch's next game is Friday, February 1 as they travel to Albany to take on the River Rats at 7:00 p.m. The Crunch's next home game is Saturday, February 2 vs. San Antonio at the War Memorial at Oncenter at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling TicketMaster at (315) 472-0700.
