Canucks re-assign MacIntyre to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have re-assigned goaltender Drew MacIntyre to Manitoba.

MacIntyre, 25, made his second NHL appearance with Vancouver Jan. 29 vs. Dallas, where he registered his first NHL loss by stopping 10 of 11 shots in 34 minutes of play. On Dec. 13/07, the Charlottetown, PEI native made his NHL debut with the Canucks, stopping nine of 11 shots in 40 minutes of action at Anaheim. With the Moose this season, MacIntyre is currently ninth in the AHL with a goals against average of 2.30; he is fourth in the league with a save percentage of .923 and has a record of 16-11-1 in 28 games with one shutout. This past weekend, MacIntyre played in his first career AHL All-Star Classic in Binghamton, NY where he stopped 15 of 16 shots and three of four shootout attempts as the Canadian All-Stars won the game 9-8.

In his six year-pro career, MacIntyre has appeared in 106 AHL games with Manitoba and Grand Rapids. In that time, he is 55-35-3 with a goals against average of 2.40 and a save percentage of .916. In 69 career games with the Moose, he is 40-23-3 with a goals against average of 2.23 and a save percentage of .922.

MacIntyre was originally drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the fourth round, 121st overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
