Moose hit the classroom to help with 'Respond to Reading'

The Manitoba Moose, in conjunction with Red River College, are proud to announce the organization is once again participating in the annual "Respond to Reading" program throughout the community in February. Moose players will be visiting eight different schools next Wednesday, February 18th, 2009.

"Respond to Reading" is an exciting program which offers unique incentive prizes for the students including the opportunity to meet Manitoba Moose players as they visit their school classrooms.

During their school visits, players will be available to read to the students from the book "Brady Brady and the Most Important Game" which is a book based on playing fair and being a good sport. Classes were chosen based on a reading workbook created by the students at RRC and completed by students across the province who then submitted the workbooks, along with an explanation as to why a Manitoba Moose player should visit their class. On top of the visit, there are a number of prizes to be won, including tickets to see the Moose in action at the MTS Centre. The students will also be eligible to win an exciting day spent at RRC exploring the Culinary Arts and Broadcast programs.

The Moose organization would like to send out a sincere thank-you to all of the schools that have participated in the program.
