
Moore Recalled, Tampa Bay Assigns Rumble for Conditioning

HERSHEY â The HERSHEY BEARS announced two separate roster moves today involving the team's NHL affiliates. The BEARS announced this afternoon that the Colorado Avalanche has recalled center Steve Moore for the third time this season. At the same time, HERSHEY announced in conjunction with the Tampa Bay Lightning that defenseman Darren Rumble has been assigned to HERSHEY for a two-game conditioning assignment. The BEARS also announced this afternoon that defenseman Tomas Slovak has been assigned to Reading (ECHL).
Moore scored two goals Saturday in a 6-3 HERSHEY win over the Norfolk Admirals. In nine games for the BEARS this season, Moore has four goals and four assists for eight points. He has also played in eight games for Colorado this season, recording no points with eight penalty minutes.
Rumble returns to HERSHEY for the first time since the 1995-96 season, when he played 58 games and scored 13 goals. The former first round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers began his professional career with HERSHEY in 1989. He has 189 games of NHL experience, and has played in one game with Tampa Bay this season.
The BEARS continue a four game road trip this Wednesday night against the Albany River Rats at Pepsi Arena in Albany. Face-off is at 7:00 p.m., with airtime on BIG 92.7 FM at 6:40 p.m. with the pre-game show. HERSHEY will be at home for a game this Saturday against the Lowell Lock Monsters at GIANT Center.
