Aberdeen IronBirds News Release

Aberdeen, MD - The New York-Penn League announced today that Aberdeen IronBirds starting pitcher Justin Moore has been added to the American League roster for the NYPL All-Star Game. Moore is one of five IronBirds playing in the exhibition. It's the first time the IronBirds have sent five players to the game.

Moore was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 26th round of the 2007 draft out of Chancellor High School in Fredericksburg, VA. The right-hander is in his first season with the IronBirds. He's posted a 3-1 record with a 3.31 ERA in seven starts. The highlight of Moore's season came on July 2nd against the Hudson Valley Renegades. Moore pitched six no-hit innings, before reaching his pitch count and exiting the game. The IronBirds carried the no-hitter into the eighth inning before it was broken up.

Moore will join teammates Trent Mummey, Kipp Schutz, Adam Gaylord and Tim Adleman in Staten Island, NY for the All-Star Game. The exhibition will take place on Tuesday August 17th at Richmond County Ballpark in Staten Island, NY. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

The Aberdeen IronBirds have sold out their season tickets for the ninth straight season. Group packages and standing room only tickets, however, are still available for the 2010 season.
