Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact unveiled the details of its new Scouting and Development Centre on Tuesday, at Centre Nutrilait. The new high-level development centre is under the responsibility of the club's Academy and its educators, who go directly to the participating clubs.
The Impact announced that three amateur clubs from the province are already members of the program: Club de soccer St-Lazare Hudson, Club de soccer Mont-Royal Outremont and Association de soccer de Saint-Lambert.
"It is with pride that we unveil today the broad lines of a project that aims to share the from the Montreal Impact Academy's technical expertise with the Quebec soccer community," said Montreal Impact administrative director of soccer operations Patrick Leduc. "The program aims to spread our development methods and emphasize our implication with our partners."
"It's an honour and a great pride for our club to become a partner of the Montreal Impact," said Club de soccer St-Lazare Hudson technical director Kosta Zampanis. "Adding this elite project to our technical programs brings an added value."
"For us, this program is a logical extension of our partnership," said Club de soccer Mont-Royal Outremont president Luc Brutus. "Our goal is to always offer our athletes a quality support system, where they can develop athletically and socially. These specialized technical sessions under the guidance of professional educators from the Impact is ideal."
"This partnership is great news for our young players from the community of Saint-Lambert," said Association de soccer de Saint-Lambert sporting director, Olivier Prud'Homme. "They will benefit from the Impact's educators' expertise. By becoming the first Impact Scouting and Development Centre on the South Shore, we are proud to improve what we offer to our players with a quality partner like the Impact."
This new initiative offers training sessions that follow the Academy's pedagogy and methodology for boys and girls from the participating clubs, according to the agreement decided. The program shares the club's values of strengthening the links with Quebec's amateur soccer community, while allowing the Impact to widen its network of young players identified and followed by the club.
