Montgomery Named UHL Player-of-the-Week

St. Charles, MO --- The Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League are proud to announce that forward Jim Montgomery has been named the Sher-Wood Hockey UHL Player-of-the-Week for the second time this season.

"I'm honored to win this award," said Montgomery, who has piled up 38 points in 34 games this season. ""It's great to contribute to the winning atmosphere that we have in Missouri."

Montgomery, 35, scored three goals and dished out five assists for eights points in three games last week. He started the week with a goal and an assist against the Rockford IceHogs on Wednesday. On Friday, the speedy forward picked up where he left off Wednesday, notching two goals and an assist against Kalamazoo. He finished out the week with a three-assist performance against Quad City on Saturday.

The River Otters next game is Wednesday, February 23 against the Kansas City Outlaws at the Family Arena. The puck drops at 7:05 PM CST, and all the action can be heard on KSLQ 104.5 and the B2 Webcast and Video Simulcast, located at www.riverotters.com.
