The Richmond RiverDogs are now 27-27-4 after going 0-3-1 last week. The âDogs are in third place in the Eastern Division 15 points up on Elmira. Richmond is tied with Flint in the wild card race. The âDogs battle first place Adirondack Friday and Saturday at the Coliseum.

GAME NOTES: The 14th of 17 meetings and the sixth of eight in Richmond. âDogs are 6-5-2 vs. the Frostbite, 2-2-1 at home. Mark Turner has 16 points vs. Adirondack. Justin Kelly has 16 vs. the âDogs. Adirondack opens the week tied for the best record in the UHL
Saturday, February 26 vs. Adirondack 7:35 PM
GAME NOTES: The 15th of 17 meetings and the seventh of eight at the Coliseum. The Frostbite begins the week having won three in a row and 17 of their last 21 games. The Frostbite's Hugo Belanger leads the UHL in scoring. Rookie goalie Kris Tebbs has started 10 straight games.

Wednesday, February 16 @ Motor City LOSS 4-2
GAME NOTES: The âDogs faced a lineup featuring NHL players Chris Chelios, Derian Hatcher, Bryan Smolinski, and Sean Avery. The âDogs took leads of 1-0 and 2-1. The Mechanics rallied for three straight goals. Dan Price scored the game-winner. The Mechanics out-shot the âDogs 47-34.
Friday, February 18 @ Flint LOSS 6-5 (SO)
GAME NOTES: The âDogs had leads of 2-0 and 3-1, while going 5-7 on the power play. Flint rallied to take a 5-4 lead in the third period. Francis Belanger scored to force the shootout with 1:46 remaining. David Hymovitz had a goal and three assists. Rob Valicevic scored twice for Flint.
Saturday, February 19 @ Muskegon LOSS 4-1
GAME NOTES: The Fury killed off six first period RiverDogs power play chances and exploded for three second period goals. Jeff Nelson had a goal and two assists. Richmond was 1-10 on the power play. The Fury won their seventh straight at home.
Sunday, February 20 @ Quad City LOSS 5-0
GAME NOTES: The Mallards Robert Gerhson made 29 saves to earn his first pro shutout, Terry Hollinger had two goals and an assist, and Greg Barber had a goal and three assists as the Mallards won the first ever meeting between the clubs. The âDogs out-shot the Mallards 15-2 in the second period.
DOG BITES: The âDogs are winless in their last four games but have a three game home winning streak. The âDogs are 1 for their last 18 on the power play after a 16 for 39 (41%) run over eight games. The âDogs are home for three straight games vs. first place clubs. They then face an 11 game road trip. The âDogs scored five power play goals at Flint Friday. The âDogs streak of eight straight games with 30-plus shots on goal ended Saturday. David Hymovitz club season high nine game point scoring streak ended Saturday. Francis Belanger had a "Gordie Howe" hat trick (goal, assist, and fight) Friday at Flint. Brent Belecki has played in four straight games in goal. The âDogs held Quad City to a season low two shots on goal in the second period Sunday. Richmond has scored one goal in their last two games after scoring 35 in seven games. The âDogs have scored six or more in three straight homes games and four of their last five at the Coliseum.. The âDogs have 20 goals in their last three home games. Belecki's three game win streak ended Wednesday at Motor City. Hymovitz is second in the league in scoring and fifth in assists. David Brosseau is fifth in shots on goal. Kyle Sheen is second in the league in rookie penalty minutes. Luch Nasato is fourth in points by defensemen.
