Monarchs to Host Canadian Heritage Night on October 29

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, will host Canadian Heritage Night at the Verizon Wireless Arena when the team plays the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2011.

Canadian Heritage Night will celebrate New Hampshire's strong ties to Canadian and Franco-American heritage. The Monarchs will don special Canadian-themed jerseys for the game. The Monarchs Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Monarchs, will auction off the unique jerseys during the game through a silent auction behind section 123 and post-game with a live auction on the ice.

Traditional Canadian foods such as poutine and Montreal smoked meat will be available to fans who attend the game along with Labatt Blue and Molson Canadian. One of the Montreal Canadiens Public Address Announcers, Sebastien Goulet, will announce the game in both French and English. Canadian currency will also be accepted at the game.

All the prizes given away during the game will be Canadian themed, including Ketchup chips and coffee crisp!
