
Monarchs Ink Three to Tryouts

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed defenseman Joe Charlebois, center Robbie Czarnik and defenseman Jordan Hill to professional tryout agreements, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Charlebois, 25, split the 2010-11 season between the Toledo Walleye and the Kalamazoo Wings. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound native of Potsdam, New York collected one point (1-01) and 28 penalty minutes in 18 games with the Walleye and 16 points (0-1616) and 48 penalty minutes in 46 games with the Wings. Charlebois competed in 127 games with the University of New Hampshire Wildcats over four seasons (2004-09) and recorded 27 points (3-2427) and 161 penalty minutes.
Czarnik, 21, recorded 126 points (50-76126) and 74 penalty minutes in 104 games with the Ontario Hockey League's Plymouth Whalers over the last two seasons (2009-11). The 6-foot-1, 188-pound native of Detroit, Michigan played the 2008-09 season and the beginning of the 2009-10 season at the University of Michigan where he collected 22 points (8-1422) and 36 penalty minutes in 51 games.
Hill, 22, recorded two points (1-12) and two penalty minutes in 17 games with Manchester during the 2010-11 season. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound native of Sarnia, Ontario also played in 28 games with the ECHL's Ontario Reign last season and registered three goals and six assists for nine points (3-69). Hill made his professional debut with the AHL's Manitoba Moose against Hamilton on April 4, 2010. He registered zero points and two penalty minutes in two games with the Moose during the 2009-10 season. Prior to turning pro, he split the 2009-10 season between the Ontario Hockey League's Sarnia Sting and Saginaw Spirit. Hill recorded 19 points (4-1519) and 55 penalty minutes in 41 games with the Sting and also picked up 19 points (3-1619) and 18 penalty minutes in 28 games with the Spirit.
