Manchester Monarchs News Release
MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, will look to improve upon last year's net proceeds of over $66,000 when they host their fifth annual "At Your Service" event on Monday, March 6 at the Event Center at C.R. Sparks in Bedford, New Hampshire.
Tickets for this year's fun-filled, entertaining evening are limited and going fast. Please contact Cheryl Abbott, Monarchs Vice President of Community Affairs at (603) 626-7825, extension 6102 for more information on the event or visit www.monarchshockey.com for a reservation form.
The Monarchs "At Your Service" event turns a normally rugged hockey team into an accomplished wait staff eager to fulfill special requests, such as singing a song, telling a joke, doing impersonations, making surprise phone calls, posing for photos, dancing, etc...all for charitable tips. The event features a private reception, a dinner and a silent auction with items such as pottery, gift baskets and Build-A-Bears created by the players. The event has raised over $234,000 for local charities over the past four years.
Child Health Services, Manchester Boys & Girls Club and the Monarchs Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Monarchs, will benefit from this year's event.
Child Health Services is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical care, social support and nutrition consultation to more than 2,000 infants, children and adolescents from low-income families in the Greater Manchester area.
The mission of Manchester Boys & Girls Club is to reach out to all youth, with special concern given to those in at-risk situations, providing programs and services that inspire and enable members to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring individuals.
The Monarchs Care Foundation is dedicated to supporting organizations in our community that promote the health and wellness of families and to those who provide educational and recreational opportunities to young people.
This year's "At Your Service" event begins at 5:00 p.m. with cocktails, appetizers and a silent auction. The players will serve dinner immediately after the auction concludes, followed by dancing. A special multi-media video feature will be shown prior to dinner to get the party started!
