Danis recalled by Canadiens

Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that the team has recalled goaltender Yann Danis from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Danis, 24, has appeared in 32 games with the Bulldogs, posting a record of 14-14-2, with a 2.88 goals-against average, and a 0.905 save percentage.

In six appearances with the Canadiens this season, Danis has earned a record of 3-2-0, with a 2.69 goals-against average and a 0.908 save percentage. The 6'0" 181-pound netminder was signed by the Montreal Canadiens as a free agent on March 19, 2004 after playing four seasons at Brown University.

The Bulldogs next action will take place on Friday, February 24 when they face the Syracuse Crunch in the first game of a seven game road trip. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Hamilton's next home game will take place on Friday, March 10 when they take on the Manitoba Moose. Game time is 7:30 p.m. and it can be seen live on Hamilton's Cable 14.
