Monarchs Assign Hogeboom To Reading

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have assigned center Greg Hogeboom to the ECHL's Reading Royals, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today. In addition, the Monarchs released right wing Kevin Saurette from his training camp tryout.

Hogeboom, 24, appeared in 42 games with the Monarchs last season, collecting 19 points (9-10=19) and 18 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 190-pound native of Etobicoke, Ontario, recorded 27 points (9-18=27) and four penalty minutes in 19 games with the Royals during the 2005-06 season. Originally selected by the Kings in the fifth-round (152nd overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Hogeboom has appeared in 59 games with the Monarchs over the last three seasons (2003-06).

Saurette, 26, appeared in three games with the Royals at the end of the 2005-6 season following his graduation from the University of Manitoba. The 6-foot, 190-pound native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, has one professional goal and two penalty minutes with the Royals in those three games.
