Bulldogs unveil new home and away jerseys

Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that the hockey club will be wearing newly designed home and away jerseys during the 2006-2007 season. The jerseys were officially unveiled at the 'Dogs annual season ticket holder pick-up party at Slainte Irish Pub on Tuesday, October 3rd.
Designed by the team of Hamilton Bulldogs Majority Owner, Chairman and Governor Michael Andlauer, 'Dogs Executive Director of Operations Brian Lewis, and representatives from The Hockey Company, the jerseys feature a new look, while maintaining the club's traditional logo and the blue, white and red colours of their National Hockey League parent club, the Montreal Canadiens.
"We are thrilled with the look of our new jerseys," said Bulldogs Executive Director of Operations Brian Lewis. "Franchises like the Hershey Bears and Rochester Americans have been around for a long time, and regardless of who their parent club has been over the years, they've always had their own identity - a logo, and a look that their fans have been able to call their own. Heading into our 11th season, we felt that it was important to Bulldogs fans that we create our own identity by introducing a newly designed jersey with a fresh look, but one that also features our popular traditional logo, as well as the colours that reflect and respects the tradition and storied success of our parent club, the Montreal Canadiens".
In operation since 1936, the American Hockey League is the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams. Over 80 percent of NHL players are AHL graduates, and more than 350 AHL players were recalled to the NHL during the 2005-2006 season alone.
The Hamilton Bulldogs will open the 2006-2007 season on Friday, October 6th versus their North Division rival, the Manitoba Moose. Tickets for all 'Dogs home games (except home game #32) are available at the Copps Coliseum Box Office, any Ticketmaster outlet, online at www.ticketmaster.ca, or through charge-by-phone at 905-527-7666.
