Admirals B2 Nights at Baxter's
October 4, 2006 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Norfolk Admirals News Release
NORFOLK, VA - On Friday, the Admirals and Baxter's Sports Lounge will hold the first "Admirals B2 Nights at Baxter's" when the Admirals take on the Philadelphia Phantoms at 7:05 p.m. Due to technical difficulties in Philadelphia that may not be resolved by game time, the B2 Network is unable to guarantee that there will be a video broadcast of the game. However, the Admirals and Baxter's will still attempt to present the "Admirals B2 Nights at Baxter's" as planned. In the event that the video broadcast is unavailable, Admirals fans will still be able to kick off the 2006-07 season with Admirals friends and family and listen to Pete Michaud's audio broadcast of the game.
Fans are asked to call Baxter's Sports Lounge after 5:00 on Friday to Baxter's to confirm whether or not the video broadcast will occur. Baxter's Sports Lounge may be reached at 622-9837.
With the "Admirals B2 Nights at Baxter's," fans will be able to watch selected Admirals road games via the B2 Networks on the big screen at Baxter's Sports Lounge.
"We're anxiously awaiting the start of hockey season," said Baxter's owner Baxter Simmons. "We look forward to bringing Admirals fans broadcasts of the games when the team is on the road."
There are four other Admirals B2 Nights at Baxter's scheduled for Friday, November 3rd (Portland Pirates), Friday, November 24th (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins), Wednesday, November 29th (Bridgeport Sound Tigers) and Friday, December 8th (Binghamton Senators).
Baxter's Sports Lounge is located across the street from Norfolk Scope Arena at 500 Granby Street in Norfolk.
