Real Monarchs News Release

Sandy, Utah (Thurs., March 26, 2015) - Real Monarchs SLC Head Coach Freddy Juarez today announced that the club has signed two more players - former Univ. of Michigan MF Tyler Arnone and former Tigres (MX) / Chivas USA (MLS) DF Emilio Orozco - prior to Sunday's second-ever match, at Portland Timbers 2 at 7:00 p.m. MT.

Arnone - who will wear #19 - attended the most recent MLS combine after a standout career in Ann Arbor, Mich., where the Hicksville, N.Y. native became one of just four Wolverines all-time to earn three consecutive All-Big 10 honors. The 2013 Big 10 Midfielder of the Year was UM's co-Captain his junior and senior campaigns, and earned first-team All-Big 10 in 2012 and 2013, his sophomore and junior years.

Born in Oxnard, Calif., Orozco - who will wear #20 - was a member of the U.S. Under-17 and Under-20 national teams. The 22-year-old midfielder spent time with Tigres UANL of Mexico's First Division and with NASL side Fort Lauderdale Strikers, prior to joining Chivas USA as a 20-year old in 2013. Orozco has also participated in the IMG soccer academy, located in Bradenton, Fla.

A week ago, Juarez unveiled his inaugural 2015 USL roster (http://realmonarchs.com/player-bios/), 48 hours prior to the expansion club's first-ever match, a 0-0 road draw last Sunday in Carson, Calif. against "Los Dos." Check out highlights of the match via www.RealMonarchs.com.

Juarez - a native of Las Cruces, New Mexico who has several years of experience at the RSL-AZ Academy and recently participated in a two-year Major League Soccer program with the French Football Federation - leads the Monarchs through its inaugural season, with another road game Sunday, prior to the club's first-ever home match on Wed., April 8, at 7:00 p.m. MT at Rio Tinto Stadium. Juarez and assistants David "Bingy" Lara and Jeff Ginn take the club to Portland this weekend to face Timbers 2, prior to the post-Easter home opener for the Monarchs.

Monarchs FW Emery Welshman will miss Sunday's match due to his international call-up to the Guyanese National Team, the young Canadian's second such tour of international duty in recent months. Welshman is expected to return for his debut with the Monarchs for their 2015 home opener on Wed., April 8 against Portland.
