
OKC Energy FC Names Opening Night Roster

OKLAHOMA CITY - OKC Energy FC has finalized its roster for the 2015 season opener on Saturday, March 28 at Tulsa, General Manager Jason Hawkins announced today. A total of 22 players make up the available pool for Head Coach Jimmy Nielsen, including 11 midfielders, five defenders, three forwards and three goalkeepers. A total of 18 players may dress for Saturday night's contest.
The roster has seven players from overseas, including two from Nielsen's home country of Denmark. Energy FC also has players from Cameroon, Hungary, Jamaica, South Africa and Wales. The 15 American-born players hail from all over the United States - three each from Kansas and California, two each from Oklahoma, Texas and Washington and one each from Maryland, Michigan and Virginia.
Four players on the roster have previous experience in Major League Soccer in team captain Michael Thomas, Christian Duke, Mikey Lopez and Casey Townsend.
