Beloit Sky Carp News Release

PEORIA, IL - The Beloit Snappers (34-43) earned their third straight win in commanding fashion on Saturday night with some help from Kameron Misner who homered twice in their 11-2 win over the Peoria Chiefs (30-47).

Beloit got on the board in the top of the second with a two-run single from Marcos Rivera and an RBI fielder's choice from Ricky Aracena. The Chiefs closed the gap with a solo home run from Todd Lott, but it was far from enough. The Snappers piled on four runs in the third to go up 7-1.

Misner hit two home runs, one in the fourth and one in the sixth - the first multi-home run game of his career. The Snappers rolled an 11-2 lead into the bottom of the ninth where Eli Villalobos struck out the side to secure the win.

Beloit's Top Performers: Starter George Soriano threw a quality start, six innings with just two earned runs. Connor Scott had a 3-for-5 night with a pair of doubles and two RBIs. Misner had a multi-homer game to follow Dustin Skelton's from Friday night.

The Snappers are on the road in Peoria again on Sunday before moving into ABC Supply Stadium downtown beginning August 3. For more information on tickets or group outings, call our front office at 608.362.2272 or visit SnappersBaseball.com.
