GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesota United announced today that the club has traded midfielder Aziel Jackson to St. Louis CITY SC in exchange for $150,000 in 2023 General Allocation Money (GAM) and up to $75,000 in conditional GAM, should certain performance metrics be met. A product of the New York Red Bull Academy, Jackson joined Minnesota United in April of 2021 when the club acquired his homegrown priority via a trade from New York Red Bulls. He joined the Minnesota United training camp ahead of the 2021 season and spent the 2021 campaign on loan to North Carolina FC, where he played 12 games and scored one goal while providing three assists before returning to MNUFC. The midfielder was then loaned to MNUFC2 for its inaugural season in 2022, where he made 23 regular-season appearances, notched a team-high 10 goals and provided seven assists. After also leading MLS NEXT Pro in key passes, he was named to the league's first-ever Best XI honors.
