INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The adage is you can never have too much pitching. The Minnesota Twins are subscribing to that philosophy as the second half of the season begins. They have signed free agent right-handed pitcher Michael Feliz to a Minor League contract and assigned him to the St. Paul Saints.

The Red Sox selected his contract on July 7, and he pitched the next day at Fenway Park against the New York Yankees. Feliz allowed two runs (one earned) in 3.1 innings of relief while walking two and striking out four. He was designated for assignment on July 9 and elected free agency on the 13th.

On May 14, 2021, Feliz was claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Reds and earned his first Major League save on June 4 against the St. Louis Cardinals. He was released on August 25 and was signed to a minor league contract by the Red Sox on August 28. After making four relief appearances for the Red Sox, Feliz was designated for assignment on September 17 and signed by the Oakland Athletics on September 20. After making one appearance for the Athletics, he was designated for assignment on September 27.

The Saints also placed right-handed pitcher Josh Winder on the injured list with right shoulder impingement syndrome.
