Minnesota Recalls Blum from Iowa

Des Moines, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Monday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Jonathon Blum from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Blum, 24 (1/30/89), has tallied 16 points (3-1316) in 29 games this season with Iowa. He ranks tied for first on the team in scoring and tied for third with three power-play goals. The 6-foot-1, 188-pound native of Long Beach, Calif., has recorded 22 points (7-1522) and 20 penalty minutes (PIM) in 91 career NHL games during three seasons with Nashville. Blum was signed as a free agent by Minnesota on July 12, 2013.

The team will play six straight on the road prior to returning home on Jan. 15 to host Toronto at 7:05 p.m.
