'Dogs Head to Abbotsford for Two Games this Weekend

With three straight wins and points in four consecutive contests, the Hamilton Bulldogs (15-14-0-4) head into a weekend road trip to Abbotsford, British Columbia on one of their hottest streaks of the season.

On Friday, January 3rd and Saturday, January 4th, the 'Dogs will be in Abbotsford to take on the Abbotsford Heat (American Hockey League affiliate of the Calgary Flames) in 10:00 p.m. ET starts on both nights. The games with be the third and fourth meetings between Hamilton and Abbotsford this season.

Two second-period goals from forward Mike Blunden led the way for the Hamilton Bulldogs as they defeated the Toronto Marlies 4-2 on Friday night at Copps Coliseum to sweep a home-and-home series with their North Division rivals. Forwards Sven Andrighetto and Martin St. Pierre also scored for Hamilton, while Dustin Tokarski made 20 saves in goal for the victory.

It took six rounds of the shootout, but the Hamilton Bulldogs left Utica, New York on Saturday evening with their third straight win as the 'Dogs topped the Utica Comets 4-3 at Utica Memorial Auditorium. Forwards Gabriel Dumont and Louis Leblanc as well as defenceman Greg Pateryn scored in regulation, then forwards Maxime Macenauer and Martin St. Pierre as well as defenceman Nathan Beaulieu added goals in the shootout. Mike Condon made 28 saves to preserve the win for Hamilton.

HAMILTON BULLDOGS HOCKEY HOUR

Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Hour is an interactive one-hour radio show on AM 900 CHML co-hosted by Hamilton Bulldogs Play-By-Play Announcer Derek Wills and Colour Commentator Al Craig. It consists of segments such as week-in-reviews, week-in-previews and live interviews with Hamilton Bulldogs coaches and players. During each show, fans have an opportunity to ask guests questions on the air, get autographs and win prizes.
