
Iowa Signs Peters to AHL Deal, Recalls Jobke from Orlando

Des Moines, IA - Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill announced on Monday the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed center Warren Peters to a Standard Player Contract (SPC - AHL). Mill also announced the club has recalled defenseman Colton Jobke from the Orlando Solar Bears, Iowa's ECHL affiliate.
Peters had previously been signed to a professional tryout agreement (PTO). In 23 games with Iowa this year, Peters has three goals and eight assists for 11 points. The 11-year pro has played in 588 AHL games, scoring 114 goals and totaling 214 points. On Dec. 26, the Saskatoon, SK native recorded his 100th career AHL assist in a 5-2 win over Rockford. Peters has played in 96 NHL games for Calgary, Dallas and Minnesota, scoring four goals and adding four assists for eight points.
A first-year pro, Jobke has played in 25 games for Orlando this year, scoring two goals and adding three assists totaling five points. The Delta, BC native was scoreless in two AHL games as an amateur in the spring of 2012. The 21-year old played in 222 WHL games from 2009-13 for Regina and Kelowna, scoring 14 goals and totaling 65 points.
The team will play six straight on the road prior to returning home on Jan. 15 to host Toronto at 7:05 p.m.
