Minnesota Assigns Goalie Josh Harding to Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Tuesday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned goaltender Josh Harding to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Harding, 30, was activated from Injured Reserve on Monday and has not appeared in a game with Minnesota this season. The 6-foot-2, 194-pound native of Regina, Saskatchewan, went 18-7-3 with three shutouts in 29 games with the Wild last season and led the NHL with a 1.65 goals against average (GAA) and a .933 save percentage (SV%). Harding last appeared in a game on Dec. 31, 2013, making 19 saves in a 2-1 loss to St. Louis. He is 60-59-11 with a 2.45 GAA, a .918 SV% and 10 shutouts in 151 career games with Minnesota.

After stops in Rockford and Chicago next weekend, Iowa returns home at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23 to face Milwaukee. On Sunday fans can bring skates to take part in the postgame skate after the game, sponsored by Grip-Tite Foundation Repair. Fans are encouraged to bring canned foods to the game on Sunday to support a canned food drive presented by Fire Creek Grill. It's also a Subway Family Four Pack game, where fans may buy four tickets, four sodas and four hot dogs, starting at $48.

The Iowa Wild 2014-15 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team's 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
