ANAHEIM, California - Quad Cities River Bandits starting pitcher, Shelby Miller threw just two-thirds of an inning in the XM All-Star Futures Game on Sunday night at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, California. Miller was one of three Midwest League players to participate in the game.

Miller was one of two Cardinals prospects to participate in the contest and surrendered just one hit in his work on the mound. He allowed a leadoff infield single to Eury Perez, and after Perez was caught stealing, Miller was able to set down Chun-Hsiu Chen with a groundout before he was replaced by Bryan Morris.

The U.S. team took the game 9-1 with Hank Conger being named the most valuable player. Conger is the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim's number one overall prospect. The catching prospect hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning off of Henderson Alvarez.
