
Miller placed on suspended list

CHARLESTON, WV (June 28, 2006) - The West Virginia Power, Class A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers have made another roster move.
Today, left handed pitcher Derek Miller was placed on the suspended list, retroactive to Saturday, June 24. Miller is expected to miss one start and no move has been to replace him on the roster.
Miller struck out 12 batters in his last outing against Kannapolis. Miller is 7-1 with a 3.67 ERA, he is currently riding a seven game winning streak and his 88 strikeouts are third most in the league. The reason for his suspension has not been released.
The Power will continue the four game series against the Augusta GreenJackets at Lake Olmstead Stadium on Wednesday night. Augusta will start right hander Dan Griffin (5-4, 3.65) and the Power will start left hander Dave Welch (2-4, 3.00). The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
