Savannah Sand Gnats News Release
SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Savannah Sand Gnats have rescheduled a previously rained out game as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, July 1. Saturday's twin bill with the Columbus Catfish will start at 5:05 p.m. at Historic Grayson Stadium.
Saturday's action will still be followed by fireworks celebrating Independence Day weekend, and the first 1,000 fans at the game will also receive a free Sand Gnats picture frame.
The original game between the Gnats and the 'Fish was rained out in Columbus on Sunday, June 25. Because the Gnats are not scheduled to return to Columbus this season, the game will be made up in Savannah. This turns the four game series between the two teams into a five game series and means the Sand Gnats are now scheduled to play more home games (71) than road games (69) this season.
