
Milkmen Shut Out Railroaders in a Fantastic 6-0 Performance

CLEBURNE, Texas - The Milwaukee Milkmen shut out the Cleburne Railroaders behind another stellar defensive performance.
Final Score: Milwaukee Milkmen 6, Cleburne RailRoaders 0.
Gregori Vasquez made his second start of the season and went five and one-third innings on the night, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out three on his way to earning the win.
The Milkmen offense rake in eight hits on the night and quickly jumped to a lead in the first when Gabriel cancel singled to score Bryan Torres and Drew Ward drove home Cam Balego.
Milwaukee's offense continued to pile up hits in the fifth when Balego smashed a two-run home run to double the lead. Ward then collected his second RBI on the night by driving in Cancel and Roy Morales then scored Miguel Gomez with a hit of his own.
The Milkmen bullpen was also dominant as usual, combining to give up just two baserunners and no runs. Jack Mahoney closed out the game for Milwaukee and sealed a 6-0 victory.
"Guys are playing confident, we have expectations when we get to the ballpark and they're feeding off of each other," Milkmen manager Anthony Barone said of the team's confidence. "They trust each other to get the job done."
The Milkmen now have a three-to-one game lead in the six-game series and look to win it outright in the last two games. The Milkmen will then take a day off before returning to Franklin Field on the 20th for a series against the Sioux Falls Canaries. We hope to see you soon!

Franklin Field and the Milwaukee Milkmen will host the American Association All-Star Game on July 18, 2023. The American Association's top talent take the field for a 6:35pm game.
In addition to the Home Run Derby and All-Star Game, the two-day event will kickoff on Monday, July 17th featuring a beer festival, golf outing at Luxe Golf Bays, live music, and a variety of kids activities around the Ballpark Commons campus.
