Auburn Doubledays News Release
Auburn, NY - The Auburn Doubledays of the New York-Penn League, Single-A Short Season affiliate of the Washington Nationals, are excited to announce that all current and retired military personnel will be admitted free of charge to the team's 7:05 pm game against the State College Spikes this Saturday, July 4.
To celebrate Independence Day, the Doubledays will provide a complimentary ticket to any fan that presents a military ID at the team's ticket window for the game on July 4. All fans in attendance will also be treated to post-game fireworks presented by The Home Depot, SK American Legion Post #1324, Finger Lakes News Radio WAUB, and 98.5 WNYR. Saturday's fireworks display will be the second of seven shows scheduled for this season.
"We are excited to celebrate our nation's birthday, our national pastime, and our armed forces all at the same time," said General Manager Mike Voutsinas. "We offer a discounted ticket price to military personnel at all of our home games, but it only seemed appropriate to offer these brave men and women free admission on the Fourth of July."
Tickets for this Saturday's July 4 game against State College are still available and can be purchased online at AuburnDoubledays.com, by phone at (315) 255-2489, or at the Falcon Park Box Office. For the latest Auburn Doubledays news and notes, follow the team on Facebook and Twitter.
