Miley and Parker Activated from DL

South Bend, IN - In conjunction with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the South Bend Silver Hawks have announced that LHP Wade Miley and Infielder Justin Parker have both been activated from the disabled list and will be available for tonight's game at Fort Wayne.

Miley, a supplemental first round pick in 2008, sprained his left foot trying to field a ground ball on June 11th at West Michigan. He has not pitched since but will start tonight's game against Fort Wayne. On the season, Miley is 3-5 with a 3.78 ERA in 11 starts.

Parker, a sixth round pick in 2008, has been bothered by left shoulder inflammation throughout the month of June. He was placed on the DL on June 14th, but has not played in a game since June 6th. Parker is batting .301 with a home run and 21 RBI in 46 games for South Bend in 2009.

The South Bend roster currently stands at 24 active players plus one on the disabled list. The Midwest League limit is 25 active players.
