Wichita, KS (April 13th) - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, announced this afternoon that defenseman Dan Milan has been called up to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL) by the Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL).

Milan, 22, is heading to the Crunch for the second time this season. He set new career highs this year in assists (16), points (17), penalty minutes (178) and was named the team's Unsung Hero Award winner. The third-year pro out of Detroit, Michigan was named as an assistant captain on March 1st and deservingly so. Prior to turning pro, Milan played 130 games in the QMJHL with the Moncton Wildcats and Victoriaville Tigres. He earned All-Rookie Team honors in 2010-11 when he tallied 38 points (14g, 24a) in Moncton.

He is expected to join the team for their final three games of the regular season, playing on Wednesday in Albany and finishing with a pair at home against Adirondack and Bridgeport.
