
Mallards Sign Rookie Forward Stewart

MOLINE, Ill. (April 13, 2015) - The Quad City Mallards have signed rookie forward Liam Stewart, the Mallards announced today.
Stewart, 20, scored 25 goals, collected 28 assists and totaled 53 points in 71 games with the Western Hockey League's Spokane Chiefs this season. The 6' 1", 180-pound Hermosa Beach, California, product scored 57 times and notched 75 assists for 132 points in 251 games over his four seasons with the Chiefs.
Stewart and the Chiefs were knocked out of the opening round of the WHL Ed Chynoweth Cup playoffs last Tuesday night with a triple overtime loss to the Everett Silvertips. Stewart scored twice and picked up an assist in six playoff games.
Stewart will wear number 14 for the Mallards.
The Mallards head to Rapid City Friday and Saturday for games one and two of their best-of-seven Central Division Semi-Final series against the Rush. The Mallards return home for game three on Wednesday, April 22 at 6:05 p.m. and game four on Friday, April 24 at 7:05 p.m. If a fifth game is necessary, it will be played on Saturday night, April 25 at 7:05 p.m. at the iWireless Center. Should a sixth game be required, the series will shift back to Rapid City on Tuesday, April 28. If the series goes to a seventh game, the Rush would host the deciding contest on Wednesday, April 29.

The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period.
