BELOIT, WI - The Oakland Athletics have announced that starting pitcher Michael Ynoa has been promoted from the Beloit Snappers to the Stockton Ports in Advanced-A Ball.

Ynoa, who's from Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, was a member of the Snappers' 2013 Opening Day roster and their starting rotation. In 15 starts, Ynoa's record was 2-1 and he put up a 2.14 ERA. He threw 54.2 innings in Beloit, and struck out 48 while walking 18. In 12 of his 15 outings this year, Ynoa allowed zero or one run. His first half performance was good enough to get him selected to the Midwest League All-Star Game in Dayton, Ohio. Ynoa has also been chosen to participate in the 2013 Sirius XM All-Star Futures Game on July 14th at Citi Field in New York City. Listed at 6'7" and 210 pounds, Ynoa was originally signed by the Athletics as a non-drafted free agent on July 2, 2008.

Ynoa joins catcher Bruce Maxwell and pitchers Raul Alcantara, Ryan Dull and Tucker Healy, all of whom were also promoted to Stockton after beginning the year in Beloit.
