
Paulino Has Three Hits in Captains 6-3 Win

Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH) - Dorssys Paulino doubled home two runs, and scored the final run of the Captains (7-5) four run fourth inning. The Captains led the TinCaps (3-8) by a score of 5-3. In the fourth inning, besides the double by Paulino the Captains knocked four hits and scored a total of four runs to take command of the ballgame and won by a final of 6-3. Paulino had three hits on the night.
Fort Wayne scored three runs in the second inning. The TinCaps used five hits; all of them singles to take a 3-0 lead. Brian Adams, Luis Domoromo and Tyler Stubblefield all had RBI base hits. The Captains cut into the lead in the bottom of the third inning. Erik Gonzalez hit a single with one out and two runners in scoring position. Both runners scored and the lead was cut to 3-2. With two outs, the Captains almost tied the ballgame but Corey Adamson the right fielder for Fort Wayne threw out Joe Sever at the dish. The outfield assist was the twelfth of the season for Adamson. Lake County had 16 team hits on the night.
RHP Blake Wood (0-0) started the started the ballgame for Lake County. Wood pitched one inning and allowed one hit and struck out one. Wood was on rehab assignment from the Indians. Luis Dejesus (3-8) entered in relief and picked up the win. Dejesus pitched five innings and allowed three earned runs, eight hits and one walk. Luis Morel entered in the seventh inning and pitched three scoreless innings to pick up his second save on the season.
Fort Wayne started RHP Joe Ross (3-3). Ross, twirled four innings, and allowed 13 hits and six earned runs. Ross struck out one and took the loss. The Fort Wayne bullpen shut the Captains down and did not let them score in five innings of relief.
Tuesday the Captains will offer Dime Dogs. Fans can enjoy ten-cent Five Star Brand Hot Dogs throughout the evening as they build up their stomachs for their Independence Day backyard BBQ's.
Also on Tuesday, the Captains will welcome former Cleveland Browns Safety Felix Wright to Classic Park as part of Dawg Night Tuesdays. Throughout the season Dawg Nights feature appearances by former and current Cleveland Browns players. Wright was undrafted out of Drake University and spent he first three years of his career in the Canadian Football League where he as an all-star. He joined the Browns in 1985 and spent six seasons in Cleveland. He had 23 interceptions with the Browns including a career high 9 in 1989. Wright also spent time with the Minnesota Vikings. He will throw out a ceremonial first pitch and be available for autographs before and during the Captains game that night.
Bark in the Park Night is also Tuesday as dog owners are encouraged to bring their dogs to Classic Park when they purchase a $5 pooch pass. A portion of the proceeds from the pooch passes will benefit Lake Humane Society & Adoption Center. Dog owners may purchase their tickets for a special $7 price. Bark in the Park will take place on every remaining Tuesday home game this season.
In addition, the first 500 kids 12 and under in attendance at Tuesday's game will receive a full-size Webkinz plush dog. This is the fifth in a series of six different Webkinz dogs that will be given away at Tuesday games throughout the 2013 season.
Lake County will begin a two game series against the Lansing Lugnuts on Tuesday. The Captains will start RHP Robbie Aviles (1-3, 5.01). The Lugnuts will start RHP Ben White (4-4, 3.84) First Pitch will be at 7:00PM from Classic Park.
