
Mets to Host Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The St. Lucie Mets are excited put on the best pyrotechnic display on the Treasure Coast after they clash with the Daytona Tortugas at First Data Field on Independence Day.
Thursday's July 4th game and fireworks show is presented by Coca-Cola. The game begins at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening to fans at 1 p.m. Fireworks will light up the night sky immediately following the action on the field. The contest is the start of a four-game home stand against the Tortugas (Cincinnati).
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to avoid the lines on game day. Tickets are $12 for lower level and $10 for upper reserve.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.stluciemets.com, over the phone by calling 772-871-2132 during business hours or in person at the ticket booth beginning at noon on Thursday.
Thursday is not considered Dollar Night. Instead, Dollar Night will be pushed to Friday with $1 beer (8 oz. cans of Bud and Bud Light), $1 hot dogs, $1 soda and $1 popcorn.
The following is a full list of happenings at the ballpark for the upcoming series July 4-7:
Thursday - 6:30 p.m.
-Special Olympics co-ed softball game and home run derby to benefit the Special Olympics. Game at 1 p.m. and home run derby at 3:30 p.m.
-Food trucks and live music in the parking lot beginning at 4:30 p.m.
-Postgame fireworks sponsored by Coca-Cola.
-The Mets will wear special red, white and blue jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 566 Health and Welfare fund. Fans can bid on the jerseys by downloading the free LiveSource app.
Friday - 6:30 p.m.
-Dollar Night: $1 Bud and Bud Light (8 oz. cans), $1 hot dogs, $1 soda and $1 popcorn.
-Solo Cup Special: Buy a Mets solo cup for $12 and receive $1 draft beer refills every Dollar Night the remainder of the season.
-Family 4 Pack: Receive four general admission tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas, four ice cream sandwiches and one family size popcorn for $50.
-Kids Club Night: All Klutch's Kids Crew members get in free and receive a free ice cream.
-Fun Run Around the Bases for kids 12-and-under after the game.
