Published on February 3, 2005 under ECHL (ECHL) News Release
PRINCETON, N.J. â The ECHL in association with The MeiGray Group
announced that the unique one-of-a-kind jerseys worn by competitors during
the skills competition held in conjunction with the 2005 Coors Light
ECHL All-Star Game are being auctioned online, beginning Thursday at 6 p.m.
ET.
The jerseys worn by the 21 members of the American Conference and the 21
members of the National Conference and pucks that were used during the
skills competition will be available online at echl.com, meigray.com and echlauction.at.edeal.com.
For the first time ever, a unique one-of-a-kind jersey was introduced for
the Skills Competition event. The ECHL-The MeiGray Group Game-Worn
Jersey Program took the handsome All-Star styles created and manufactured
by Reebok and SP Apparel, and designed the addition of
individual team logos to the chests of the jerseys to produce a striking
look for the 2005 ECHL All-Star Game Skills Competition.
Only 42 jerseys were produced, one for each 2005 ECHL All-Star.
The auction begins at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday and closes at 6 p.m. on
Thursday, February 10.
The leading distributor of game-worn hockey jerseys and "Official Game-Worn
Jersey Source of the ECHL," The MeiGray Group sold over 800
game-worn ECHL jerseys in 2003-04 and has sold more than 1,700 since it
began selling game-worn ECHL jerseys in 2002-03.
The MeiGray Group, which has sold more than 19,000 game-worn jerseys
since its inception in 1997, is partners with the National Hockey League in
the NHL-MGG Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program and also has working
agreements with the National Football League's Philadelphia Eagles, Major
League Baseball's Texas Rangers and the National Basketball Association's
Dallas Mavericks.
