December 16, 2005 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Motor City Mechanics News Release

FRASER, Mi.-December 16, 2005- The Motor City Mechanics of the United Hockey League (UHL) are pleased to announce that they have lowered ticket prices for the remainder of the season. The reorganization comes after changing ticket prices throughout the month of December and noticing a welcome change in attendance.

Starting January 1st, 2006 the Mechanics will be offering Section 1, 8, and 9 (on the blue line) at $15, all other reserved seats at $10 and bleacher seats (general admission) will be sold at $5. All groups over 20 will receive the group rate at $8 per ticket.

The Mechanics will also be selling season tickets for the remainder of the season starting with the game on January 6th vs Danbury. The 24 game season ticket includes all Regular Season home games from January 6 to April 15.

The Mechanics' previous ticket prices were among the highest in the league but priced competitively with other sporting and entertainment venues throughout the Metro-Detroit area. Changing ticket prices for the rest of the season will make it more affordable for families to enjoy Mechanics hockey on a regular basis.

Mechanics President, John Tull states, "We feel we have one of the best entertainment products in town but we recognize the need to adjust our pricing and allow more fans to enjoy the product. The Mechanics family entertainment piece combined with coach Danton Cole's championship caliber hockey team makes a Mechanics hockey game a very attractive and affordable entertainment option at five to fifteen dollars per ticket."

The Mechanics are away tonight in Muskegon but return home for back to back games Saturday against the Port Huron Flags at 7:30pm and Sunday vs the Flint Generals at 5pm. Tickets are still $5 throughout the month of December so celebrate the holidays early at a Mechanics game. For more information or to purchase tickets please contact the Mechanics offices at 866-997-PUCK (7825).
