
Lucky 13 for Branch as Mechanics Win Sixth Straight!

MUSKEGON, MI- The Mechanics stretched their winning streak to six games tonight beating the Muskegon Fury 5-2 in front of 2,732 fans at LC Walker Arena, the second win in eight days on Muskegon's home ice.
Adam Edinger continued his incredible goal scoring pace by putting two more in the net tonight and ran his goal total up to 15 in his last 10 games and 6 in his last two games versus the Fury.
Newly acquired Forward, David Herring made his presence felt after tallying two points tonight as well as 13 penalty minutes. Rod Branch started his 13th straight game and won a league leading 13th game.
Mel "the Motor City Mangler" Angelstad made his presence felt as he tangled with Fury tough guy, Ken Fels late in the third period.
The Mechanics return home for two games this weekend. Saturday the Mechanics host their conference rival the Port Huron Flags at 7:30 pm on Holiday Ornament Night sponsored by The Final Cut Hair Salon and 106.7 The Drive. Sunday the Mechanics battle the Flint Generals at 5 pm on Brent Gretzky Kids t-shirt Night presented by Magic 105.1 and Christian Financial Credit Union. All Seats are only $ 5. Tickets are on sale at the "Garage" Box office located at the Great Lakes Sports City Hockey Arena on Utica Road in Fraser.
