Mechanics Active At Trade Deadline

FRASER, MI- The Motor City Mechanics of the United Hockey League (UHL) are excited to announce that they have acquired Veteran Defenseman Andrei Lupandin from the Quad City Mallards in exchange for Rookie Forward Scott Dobben.

Lupandin, 28, hails from the Ukraine and has played over 400 professional games. This season he has totaled 28 points in 57 games played with the Mallards.

Lupandin is in his eighth pro season and has played in the IHL with the Utah Grizzlies and has spent three full seasons in the ECHL with the Greensboro Generals, Jackson Bandits, Mississippi Sea Wolves and Charlotte Checkers.

In exchange for Lupandin the Mechanics sent Forward Scott Dobben to the Mallards. Dobben totaled 21 points (6 goals, 15 assists) in 58 games played this season.

Come see the newest Mechanic this weekend as the Mechanics are home for two games. Friday they take on the Adirondack Frostbite as they don their special St. Patrick's Day jerseys. The jerseys will then be auctioned off for charity immediately following the game. Saturday the Mechanics face the Elmira Jackals. Both games start at 7:30 PM.
