Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

Thanks in part to an historic streak that saw him tie a Minor League record with homers in seven straight games, Dallas McPherson earned Pacific Coast League Batter of the Week honors for games beginning on June 23 and continuing through June 29.

McPherson, who is also currently riding a season-high nine game hitting streak, batted .474 (9x19) for the week with six runs, a triple, four homers, and nine RBI. In the second game of a doubleheader in Iowa on June 28, McPherson saw his streak of consecutive games with a homer end at seven, but not before it set a franchise record, tied a PCL mark with former Albuquerque Dukes utility player Claude Westmoreland, who did it 1977, and equaled a Minor League Baseball record with four others.
