
McLachlan and Kouba Assigned to Adirondack

Springfield, MA â The Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League (AHL) today announced that left wings Darren McLachlan and Ladislav Kouba have been re-assigned to the Adirondack IceHawks of the United Hockey League (UHL).
Kouba has not figured in any scoring while registering a plus/minus rating of +1 in three games with Springfield this season. The 20-year-old has tallied a goal and an assist for two points in four games with Adirondack during previous assignments this season. Kouba was a seventh-round selection (216th overall) by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He posted 40 points (12g, 28a) in 68 regular season games with Red Deer of the Western Hockey League (WHL) last season.
McLachlan, 20, has skated in four contests with the Falcons this season. The Nanaimo, British Columbia native has not recorded any points with the club. McLachlan was acquired by the Phoenix Coyotes from the Boston Bruins in exchange for a fourth-round selection in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft on May 31st. He was selected by Boston in the third round (77th overall) of the 2001 Draft. McLachlan recorded 117 points (47g, 70a) and 691 penalty minutes (PIM) over 215 games as a junior player with Seattle of the Western Hockey League. The forward skated two games with Adirondack earlier this season, collecting 20 PIM.
Today's assignments are the third for Kouba and the second for McLachlan to Adirondack this season.
The Falcons will host a pair of weekend games at the Springfield Civic Center this weekend. The Albany River Rats will come to town for a Friday-night contest, followed by a visit from the Manchester Monarchs on Saturday evening. Game time for both contests is 7:35 pm.
