WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President/General Manager and Worcester IceCats General Manager of Hockey Operations Larry Pleau announced today that St. Louis has reassigned forward Colin Hemingway and the IceCats have loaned forward Jeremy Yablonski to their ECHL affiliate, the Peoria (IL) Rivermen.
Drafted by the St. Louis Blues with their seventh choice, 221st overall in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Hemingway has skated in nine games for the IceCats during his first professional season. The former University of New Hampshire standout has been blanked on the score-sheet, and has recorded two penalty minutes.
Yablonski, who was recalled from the Rivermen on November 3rd, appeared in two games for the IceCats, recording two penalty minutes and no points. Prior to his recall, the Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan-born forward skated in five games for Peoria this season, registering two assists and 28 penalty minutes.
His 2002-2003 IceCats totals included one goal and 50 penalty minutes in 20 games: 20(1/0/1)50. While with the Rivermen, the 6-1, 232 pounder registered one goal, two assists and 154 penalty minutes in 24 games: 24(1/2/3)15.
The IceCats are on the road for three games, before returning to WorcesterÂ’s Centrum Centre for a 7:05 face off with the Lowell Lock Monsters on Wednesday, November 26th.
