McKenzie Recalled by Dallas Stars

FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled left wing Curtis McKenzie from the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

McKenzie, 24, has appeared in one game for Dallas this season and did not register a point. In 40 games with Texas, he has registered 32 points (11-21=32), a +14 plus/minus rating and a team-leading 77 penalty minutes. He is coming off back-to-back two point efforts, posting a goal and an assist on Feb. 10 at Manitoba and a two-assist effort last night vs. Lake Erie.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Golden, British Columbia was selected by Dallas in the sixth round (159th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars and currently in their seventh season at Cedar Park Center.
