April 20, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Utah Grizzlies News Release
WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH * Jerry McBurney and Utah Grizzlies owners David Elmore and Donna Tuttle announced today that McBurney is leaving his position of Executive Vice President to pursue other interests.
*I would like to thank Dave Elmore and Donna Tuttle for the opportunity and for the support they have provided myself and my family,* said McBurney. *They are the reason hockey returned to Utah a decade ago, and because of them hockey will remain a part of the Utah sports landscape for years to come.*
McBurney has been with the Grizzlies for the past two seasons and will continue to live in the Salt Lake community and be involved with the team in some capacity.
*It has truly been a pleasure getting to know Grizzlies fans over the past couple of seasons,* continued McBurney. *I, along with my wife Beth and daughter Maddie would like to thank all the Grizzlies fans for their kindness, generosity and friendship shown to us during the past two years. I look forward to seeing everyone at the ?E? Center next year as a season ticket holder.*
*We are sorry to see Jerry go, he had an excellent relationship with our fans and our season ticket holders in what has been a very difficult and disappointing season,* said Elmore. *We look forward to Jerry?s continued support and help as we rebuild hockey in Utah.*
