INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - John-Scott Dickson scored his second hat trick of the season as the Missouri Mavericks defeated the Arizona Sundogs by a score of 4-3, Friday night at Independence Events Center. Dickson netted his 19th, 20th and 21st goals of the 2011-12 CHL campaign en route to the Mavs 23rd victory this season.

The second period nearly went scoreless for the entire 20 minutes, until Andrew Courtney collected a loose rebound and put it home for the goal with less than a second remaining on the clock. The Mavs took a 3-0 lead into the third and final period.

In the third period, John-Scott Dickson capped his big night, scoring his third goal of the game, another power play goal, setting the Mavs franchise record for power play goals in a game by a single player. The Sundogs wouldn't go quietly though, scoring three unanswered goals in the final 15 minutes of regulation.
