Gems Announce Return Of Popular "Ladies Night" & Bachelor Auction
February 3, 2012 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Dayton Gems News Release
Dayton, OH - The Dayton Gems professional hockey team, proud members of the "AA" Central Hockey League, announced the return of the popular "Ladies Night" event presented by Today's Headlines Salon & Day Spa on Tuesday, February 21 inside the Hara Conference Center.
After a successful inaugural event last season, the Gems and Today's Headlines have teamed up to make the 2012 Ladies Night even bigger by moving the evening event over to the spacious Hara Arena Conference Center to accommodate the increase in activities and vendors.
For only $35 (or just $30 for Gems season ticket holders), Ladies will be treated to a catered dinner, one drink ticket, a free commemorative t-shirt and complimentary goodie bag, 2 tickets to the Gems home game on February 24 and admission to the "hockey 101" demonstrations.
The "hockey 101" portion of the night includes a locker room tour conducted by Gems players, a shooting demonstration, equipment demonstration and a speed networking session with eligible players.
New for 2012, Ladies Night will include a pre-dinner vendor's expo featuring local women-focused businesses as well as presenting sponsor Today's Headlines Salon & Spa. Other sponsors include LA Fitness, Kendall Marketing Solutions, SunDown Tan and The Spaghetti Warehouse.
The evening will wrap up with the much anticipated Gems player bachelor auction on the main stage following dinner, with ladies able to bid on a social outing with a Gems player, including dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse and a round of bowling at Poelking Lanes South. A portion of the proceeds from this auction will benefit breast cancer awareness in the Dayton region.
On partnering with the Gems for Ladies Night, Today's Headlines owner Becky Mergler exclaimed "we are thrilled to be the presenting sponsor of the Gems second annual Ladies Night and Hockey 101. We have added a number of unique experiences to this year's event, and we invite all of the ladies in the Dayton region to join us for an intimate night with the Gems players."
Tickets for Ladies Night are now on sale by calling the Gems office at 275-7777 or by visiting www.DaytonGems.com . Space is limited, and the deadline to reserve a spot is Monday, February 20. Ladies attending must be 21 and over.
